DNC on Trump Admin Refusal to Hold Equifax Accountable
March 1, 2018
In response to reports that about 2.4 million more Americans were victims of the Equifax leak than previously known, DNC spokesperson Daniel Wessel released the following statement:
“Equifax failed to protect the personal data of more than 100 million Americans. As more information comes out showing the Equifax leak was even worse than previously known, Trump and Mulvaney continue to refuse to hold them accountable. Instead of launching a full-scale probe to ensure something like this never happens again, Mulvaney continues to try to dismantle the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. At every turn, Trump and Mulvaney reward shady behavior and side with big corporations over the very consumers they are tasked with protecting.”
