DNC Hispanic Media Director Enrique Gutiérrez released the following statement in response to the congressional report that the Trump administration has lost track of 1,500 more immigrant children:

“The Trump administration’s immigration policy failures are on full display. Losing track of 1,500 more children is indicative of the inhumane treatment this administration has shown the thousands of asylum-seekers. The world watches as this administration continues to keep children locked up in tent cities and separated from their families. Donald Trump created this humanitarian crisis and it keeps getting worse. The only way we can help these children is if we continue fighting against these anti-immigrant policies, and hold this administration accountable at the ballot box this November.”
