DNC AAPI Media Director John Santos released the following statement in response to the Trump administration’s attack on migrants on the U.S.-Mexico border:

“The Trump administration’s attack on unarmed migrants on the U.S.-Mexico border should not have come as a surprise, coming from the same administration that treats infants as criminals and threatens to deport refugees of war. America’s dynamism has been in large part due to our willingness to welcome those who seek a better life. Trump’s heartlessness is not who we are as a nation. We must reject this administration’s lies and be guided by the better angels of our nature.”
