In response to the Trump administration’s repeal of the Clean Power Plan, DNC spokesperson Daniel Wessel released the following statement:

“After experiencing the devastation of multiple record-setting hurricanes, one would think that President Trump would be ready to give up his climate science denial. But instead, Trump and Scott Pruitt have chosen to side with industry special interests over the health and safety of the American people. By repealing the Clean Power Plan, Trump recklessly endangers our environment, our economy and our lives. While Trump ignores reality, Democrats will continue to combat climate change, invest in clean and renewable energy that creates jobs and grows our economy, and ensure the safety and well-being of future generations.”
