In response to the Trump administration’s rollback of President Obama’s Clean Power Plan, DNC spokesperson Daniel Wessel released the following statement:

“This latest rollback of President Obama’s Clean Power Plan is a continuation of the Trump administration’s assault on our environment, our climate and our public health. Democrats believe that we need a comprehensive clean energy approach that creates good union jobs and tackles the growing threat of climate change. We will work to protect the communities hurt by polluted air, water, and land and continue to fight Trump’s agenda that threatens our nation’s health and economic future.”
