In response to Trump’s CBS News interview where he demonstrated his utter disregard for Black lives, DNC War Room spokesperson Danai Pointer released the following statement:

“Once again, President Trump ignores the brutality Black Americans endure at the hands of police officers and the systemic changes that must take place to ensure that exchanges between law enforcement and communities of color are handled with respect and due justice. His choice to disregard the lived Black experience rather than honor innocent victims, like George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, underscores the need for a president who unites us instead of dividing us on racial lines at every opportunity.”
