DNC communications director Xochitl Hinojosa released the following statement on Trump’s shutdown threat:

“Donald Trump is playing games with American jobs in order to distract from the fact that his health care bill would cost people more money and leave millions of Americans, including those with pre-existing conditions, without care. This irresponsible behavior coming from our president only poses a threat to our economy and to our country. No wonder Sean Spicer refused to answer questions during today’s press briefing.”
