DNC on Yom Kippur

“For Jewish Americans, the Days of Awe culminate with Yom Kippur, an opportunity to examine one’s soul and draw closer to each other, to God, and to our sacred values. This holy day grants one final opportunity during the Days of Awe for repentance, and to repair the bonds that may have frayed and atone for the times we may have erred. This process of self-reflection and communal repair is central to our task, as Democrats, of reclaiming a future of opportunity, kindness, and belonging for all Americans.

“As the book of 5780 is sealed, let us resolve to write a new chapter for our communities and our country, and renew our commitment to a world of love, compassion, and justice. To all who observe Yom Kippur, G’mar chatima tova.”
