Following the Democratic primary in Alaska, DNC Chair Tom Perez released the following statement:

Mark is not only a son of Alaska, he’s exactly the type of forward-thinking leader the state needs in the governor’s office. As Mayor of Anchorage and then U.S. Senator, Mark has fought tirelessly for Alaskan families. And he’s never been afraid to reach across the aisle to find solutions to tough problems – a talent that will serve his constituents well.
