Ahead of Donald Trump Jr.’s visit to Omaha today, DNC spokeswoman Maddie McComb released the following statement: 

“Don Jr.’s visit to Omaha is a thinly veiled attempt to distract from the Trump administration’s broken promises on health care, but Nebraskans won’t be fooled. Trump has been relentless in his attacks on protections for people with pre-existing conditions, and now he is in court trying to strike down the Affordable Care Act in the middle of a pandemic that he refused to prepare for and failed to contain. Meanwhile, new reporting reveals that Trump paid next to nothing in taxes, even while passing a tax scam that provided big tax breaks for the wealthy and big corporations and incentivized companies to offshore American jobs. Nebraskans will hold Trump accountable for his failed, ineffective leadership this November.”
