“This week, we celebrate the apprenticeship programs that have powered American workers and our economy. Registered apprenticeships – training programs run by unions, employers, and other organizations – are crucial for developing the next generation of workers and helping us compete in the global marketplace. National Apprenticeship Week honors these programs and the opportunities they provide for communities across the country. For so many Americans, apprenticeships are their ticket to the middle class. These programs create pathways to good-paying jobs, help diversify our workforce, and strengthen our economy. As the party of labor, we will continue to uplift the American worker and ensure that all Americans have the access to the training they need to succeed.”
