Today, Republican Governors Kim Reynolds, Brian Kemp, and Chris Sununu announced state investments made possible by President Biden and Democrats’ American Rescue Plan, which all three publicly opposed. In response, DNC spokesperson Adonna Biel released the following statement: 

“Brian Kemp, Chris Sununu, and Kim Reynolds’ efforts to take credit for critical funding provided by the American Rescue Plan without mentioning their adamant opposition to the law tells you everything you need to know about today’s Republican Party. Instead of bragging about the historic nature of the funding and hypocritically trying to take credit, these Republican governors should be thanking President Biden and Democrats for passing this legislation that has already helped get hundreds of millions of Americans vaccinated, create millions of jobs, and safely reopen schools.”
