Today, the Supreme Court refused to block the Texas abortion ban, endangering reproductive health and harming pregnant people in the second-largest state in the nation. DNC spokesperson Adonna Biel released the following statement:
“Today’s action is a result of a decades-long, systemic effort by Republicans to strip Americans of their constitutional right to an abortion. Republican lawmakers are directly responsible for the danger posed to reproductive health every day SB8 remains a law. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: Abortion is on the ballot. Republicans will be held accountable for their war on reproductive health care.” |
