DNC Statement on the 4th Anniversary of Parkland Shooting

On the anniversary of the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, DNC Chair Jaime Harrison released the following statement:

“Four years ago, our hearts broke as 17 lives were taken by a terrible act of evil. Out of tragedy, a movement emerged led by the families and students of Parkland, one that inspired our entire country to march, organize, and take action to protect our communities from gun violence.

“Today we remember and mourn those lost on this day and stand alongside all those who have endured such tragedy. And we continue our march on to end the epidemic of gun violence and towards a safer America.”
