DNC Statement on Today’s Primary and Caucus Results
March 6, 2016
WASHINGTON – DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz released the following statement on the results of today’s primary and caucus contests:
“Voters once again responded positively to the hopeful and thoughtful visions for the country put forth by Senator Sanders and Secretary Clinton. In Kansas, for example, more Democrats turned out today than in 2008.
“Americans know that Democrats put working families first and that more people prosper under their leadership, as evidenced by the six straight years of private-sector job growth under this administration.
“On the other side, it’s clear this is now a two-person race. Republicans can choose between a divisive carnival barker or someone whose greatest accomplishment is shutting down the government, costing taxpayers $24 billion.”
