DNC Statement on Veterans Day

In honor of Veterans Day, DNC Chair Jaime Harrison and DNC Veterans and Military Families Council Chairs Terron Sims II and Sue Hoppin released the following statement:

“On Veterans Day, we honor those brave Americans who have served our country in uniform. We also recognize and uplift the devotion and dedication of military families, spouses, partners, and survivors who have selflessly sacrificed for our nation.

“Whether it is supporting military families through Dr. Biden’s Joining Forces initiative, taking action to end veteran homelessness, or ushering in a significant expansion of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) disability and health benefits for veterans with the signing of the PACT ACT, the Biden-Harris administration is dedicated to honoring the service of our veterans and ensuring they are rewarded with the health, safety, and dignity they deserve – and have earned.

“We are truly and humbly grateful for all those who have worn the uniform, and we remain dedicated to living up to our nation’s sacred obligation to our veterans and their families.”
