House Republicans Vote AGAINST Lowering Gas Prices
April 19, 2022
Today, House Democrats led the charge and took critical action to help lower gas prices across the country, meanwhile every single House Republican voted against it.
As Republicans feign concern and misleadingly place blame for rising gas prices, House Republicans unanimously voted against taking action to help lower gas prices.
CNN: “The House has voted 217-207 to pass a bill that gives the Federal Trade Commission the authority to investigate energy companies for alleged price gouging as prices at gas pumps nationwide hit record highs… House Republicans urged their members to vote against the measure.”
The Hill: “The House voted Thursday to pass Democrats’ bill aimed at combating ‘price gouging’ on gasoline. The bill passed 217-207, with no Republicans voting for it.”
Associated Press: “The measure was approved, 217-207. Republicans unanimously opposed the bill.”
