ICYMI: DNC Chair Ken Martin Stumps for Mikie Sherrill in NJ Ahead of Critical Elections

Over the weekend, DNC Chair Ken Martin barnstormed across New Jersey, campaigning for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mikie Sherrill and Democrats up and down the ballot. As he traveled across the state, Chair Martin canvassed in Paterson, spoke at a No Kings rally in Montclair, knocked doors in Medford, and met with High School Dems in Lawrence Township. During his conversations with voters, Chair Martin emphasized the clear choice New Jerseyans have this November between Mikie Sherrill, who is fighting to lower their costs, and Jack Ciattarelli, who gave Trump an “A” grade despite Trump’s toxic agenda that is ripping away New Jerseyans’ health care, causing utility bills to spike, and destroying New Jersey jobs.

Take a look at some of the coverage below:

On the Airwaves:

DNC Chair Ken Martin, CNN: “Mikie Sherrill has run a terrific campaign, and she is going to win. There’s great energy. I’ve been all throughout the state over these last two days, and I can tell you, she’s running the type of campaign that’s actually resonating with voters at a time when people are worried about affordability, at a time when people are worried about rising costs, and how they’re going to actually live their lives. Mikey Sherrill is talking directly to those concerns. As Jack Ciattarelli, her opponent, is actually giving Donald Trump an ‘A’ grading and fully embracing a guy who’s just cost the state 100,000 jobs by taking money away from the Gateway Tunnel. You know this guy, Jack Ciattarelli, has shown no interest in actually standing up for New Jersey, and so all he’s doing is bending a knee and kissing Donald Trump’s ring.”

“‘It is one thing to show up at these protests and it’s another to move the needle and get back some power,’ Martin added.”

[Max Pizarro, 10/18/25]

“‘Donald Trump is taking 100,000 hobs away from New Jerseyans,’ said Martin. ‘You’ve got a president and his enabler-in-chief, Jack Ciattarelli, who are doing nothing to make people’s lives more affordable.’”

TAPinto Paterson: DNC Chair Ken Martin rallies Paterson Democrats Ahead of Election Day
[Gabriella Dragone 10/19/2025]

“National Democratic Party Chair Ken Martin joined local leaders and volunteers at Eastside Park on Saturday morning to energize voters and support Rep. Mikie Sherrill, Dr. Dale Caldwell, and Democrats across New Jersey ahead of the Nov. 4 election. …

Martin used his remarks to urge unity and action in the final stretch of the campaign, emphasizing that Democrats cannot take any race for granted. …

‘I’m fired up. I know we’re going to win, but you run like you’re 20 points behind, even if you’re 20 points ahead,’ he said. ‘They’re going to throw everything but the kitchen sink at us over the next two weeks.’ …

Martin expanded on the DNC’s national organizing plan, saying the party’s new four-year funding agreement will deliver record resources to state parties like New Jersey’s.

‘When you organize everywhere, you can actually win anywhere,’ Martin said. ‘It’s about deep organizing, year-round conversations with voters, not just two months before an election. That’s how we build lasting power.’”
