In Michigan and Wisconsin, elected officials, parents and small business owners thanked President Biden and Democrats for delivering for working families

Yesterday, the DNC’s “Build Back Better” bus made stops in Madison, Wisconsin and Kalamazoo, Michigan where Democrats highlighted how President Biden’s agenda is helping working people. At the stops, Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers, state party chairs Ben Wikler and Lavora Barnes, DNC Secretary Jason Rae, and several small business owners and parents talked about how their communities are building back better thanks to President Biden and Democrats, with the creation of more than four million jobs, tax cuts for middle-class families, and lower health care costs.

After making stops in more than ten states across the South, Mountain West, Midwest, and Northeast throughout the month of August, the DNC “Build Back Better” bus tour will make its final stops today in Philadelphia and Cherry Hill, New Jersey.

Democrats also touted middle-class tax cuts. State party chair Ben Wikler said the child tax credit is helpful for Wisconsin families.

“President Biden’s expanded child tax credit means that they can sleep a little easier at night knowing that they can say ‘yes’ to prioritizing their kids without having to worry about what else they are going to have to cut,” Wikler said.

Gov. Tony Evers said a partnership with the Biden administration and Democrats in Congress is important. Evers stuck to his motto ‘What’s best for our kids is best for our state’ and said decisions being made in Washington, D.C. are benefiting Wisconsin.
