IN THE STATES: As DNC’s “Build Back Better” Bus Tour Kicks Off, Democrats Highlight Historic Infrastructure Deal

As the DNC kicked off its August recess “Build Back Better” bus tour to tout the party’s accomplishments with stops in Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina, Democrats across the country spent the week highlighting how President Biden and Democrats passed the historic Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal in the Senate — the largest long-term investment in our infrastructure and competitiveness in nearly a century.

From Pennsylvania to Georgia, Democratic state parties hosted events with local leaders, applauding President Biden and Senate Democrats for passing the Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal, which will create millions of good-paying jobs and help American businesses grow by investing in our nation’s roads and highways, bridges and transit, our drinking water systems, broadband, and more.

Local leaders and editorial boards alike wrote about why their communities urgently need the Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal — and how shameful it is that Republicans like Marco Rubio, Rick Scott, and Todd Young put politics ahead of their state’s economic interests.
