IN THE STATES: DNC Chair Touts Vision For the Future of the Democratic Party, Americans Reject Trump’s Losing Agenda

This week, DNC Chair Ken Martin kicked off his first official tour as DNC chair, traveling to blue, purple, and red states across the country. As a part of his “Organizing Everywhere” Tour, Chair Martin visited Pennsylvania, Texas, Illinois, and Missouri this week and will be in Wisconsin tomorrow. As DNC chair, Martin is committed to ensuring Democrats are using every tool at our disposal to compete across the country.

Ahead of Chair Martin’s first tour stop in Pittsburgh, PA, the chair released a new memo underlining how Trump and his billionaire backers are enriching themselves at working Americans’ expense. Since Day 1, the Trump administration’s attacks on workers’ rights have made lives harder and his Project 2025 agenda threatens to roll back worker protections and make it harder for workers to unionize. In the memo, Chair Martin emphasized that Democrats must be the party of working people and unite behind the kitchen table issues that connect us all.

Also, this week, the DNC reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the will of North Carolina and Nevada voters from MAGA Republicans’ attempt to silence and disenfranchise them. In North Carolina, the DNC filed its opposition brief with the North Carolina Supreme Court to block Republicans’ shameless attempt to overthrow an election decided more than three months ago. The DNC also filed a brief supporting the North Carolina State Board of Elections’ position that federal courts retain jurisdiction to protect the rights of the voters at issue in this case. In Nevada, the DNC filed a brief in the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals urging the court to throw out the RNC’s challenge against a Nevada law that allows mail ballots postmarked by Election Day and received within four days of the election to be counted.
