IN THE STATES: GOP on Defense over Extreme Agenda

In the states this week, Democrats across the country continued “Too Extreme GOP” press tours and events calling out Republicans’ ultra-MAGA agenda of cutting key benefits like Social Security and banning abortion with no exceptions.

In Kansas, with record turnout, voters overwhelmingly rejected a Republican-proposed amendment that would have opened the door to a statewide abortion ban – proving just how unpopular the GOP’s extreme anti-choice agenda is across the country.

Vice President Kamala Harris continue travelling across the country, from Massachusetts to Florida, to highlight Democrats’ committment to protecting abortion rights and tackling climate change.

Meanwhile, local headlines highlighted Republicans who voted against final legislation to expand health care access for veterans suffering from exposure to toxic burn pit smoke and other harmful contaminants during their service.
