Kristi Noem Brings Her Woes On The Road

As anti-choice extremist Kristi Noem descends on Massachusetts to stump for Geoff Diehl, the pro-Trump GOP candidate for Massachusetts governor, let’s not forget: Noem is currently under investigation in her home state of South Dakota for possible ethics violations.

You read that right: Noem is currently under investigation by South Dakota’s state ethics board for not one, but two potential violations, indicating that Noem may have used the power of her office for personal political gain.

Associated Press: “Noem, a potential 2024 White House contender, is under scrutiny from the state’s Government Accountability Board for allegations that she misused the powers of her office by interfering in her daughter’s application for a real estate appraiser license and flying on state-owned airplanes to political events. She has denied any wrongdoing.”

Both of these complaints were brought forward by the former Republican attorney general. Noem attempted to shut down the investigation, but the board is pressing forward.

Associated Press: “The board’s three retired judges… voted unanimously to deny the governor’s requests to dismiss the complaints.”

As Noem takes her extreme brand of anti-choice MAGA politics on the road, let’s also not forget that she actually went on the record defending South Dakota’s draconian abortion ban. In the same breath, she even said that she would force a 10-year-old rape victim to give birth to their rapist’s child.

CNN: “South Dakota governor defends state’s abortion ‘trigger’ ban when asked if 10-year-old should be forced to give birth”

Let’s be clear: Noem can run, but she can’t hide. The people of Massachusetts simply do not want the extreme agenda she and Diehl are selling.
