Mainers and Alaskans Oppose Overturning Roe V. Wade

Many Americans agree that Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, Judge Kavanaugh, would overturn Roe v. Wade. The vast majority of Americans oppose overturning Roe v. Wade, and new polling in two states that are key for Kavanaugh’s confirmation – Maine and Alaska – shows overwhelming opposition to it.

 

Many Americans agree that Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, Judge Kavanaugh, would overturn Roe v. Wade.  

 

  • A plurality of Americans say that if Kavanaugh is confirmed to the Supreme Court he would overturn Roe v. Wade.

 

A majority of Americans oppose overturning Roe v. Wade and think Kavanaugh should be forced to answer questions about it.

 

  • More than two-thirds of Americans oppose overturning Roe v. Wade.  

 

  • A vast majority of Americans say that when senators ask about issues like abortion, Supreme Court nominees should be required to answer.

 

Large majorities of Mainers and Alaskans want to see Roe v. Wade upheld. Will Senator Collins and Senator Murkowski listen?

 

  • 68 percent of Senator Collins’s constituents in Maine want to see Roe v. Wade upheld, including nearly half of Republicans and 71 percent of independents.

 

  • 63 percent of Senator Murkowski’s constituents in Alaska want to see Roe v Wade upheld, including 72 percent of independents.
