Mike Pence’s Georgia Rally is a Profile in Cowardice

As Mike Pence flies into Georgia today to make a last minute endorsement for a MAGA Republican who is polling lightyears ahead of his nearest opponent, it’s important to remember one thing: Mike Pence happily stood by and co-signed Donald Trump’s ultra-MAGA agenda of attacking Georgians’ health care and abortion access, cutting taxes for billioniares, and trying to overturn a free and fair election.

Pence may think he can try to separate himself from Trump or take credit for the eventual election result, but it won’t work. This last ditch effort is nothing more than another example of Pence being a coward who only does what is politically convenient.

Mike Pence is flying into Georgia at the last minute to endorse a gubernatorial candidate who is polling more than 30 points ahead of his closest opponent.

11Alive: “Former Vice President Mike Pence will be coming to Georgia to campaign on behalf of Gov. Brian Kemp, the governor’s campaign announced Friday morning.”

Newsweek: “A Fox News poll published on Wednesday showed Kemp with 60 percent support among Republican primary voters in Georgia, compared to just 28 percent for the former senator.”

The facts don’t lie. Mike Pence spent years proudly serving as Donald Trump’s sidekick while the Trump-Pence administration cut taxes for the wealthiest Americans, attacked Americans’ health care, failed to deliver an infstructure deal, and waged an unrelenting war on abortion access – all at the expense of Georgia families.

And let’s not forget: Mike Pence actively worked with Donald Trump to spread the Big Lie and attempt to overturn free and fair election results, including in Georgia.
