New Hampshire Democrat Bobbi Boudman Wins 7th Carroll County State House District Election, Becomes 28th Democratic Legislative Flip Since 2025
March 11, 2026
Democrats have now flipped 28 state legislative seats since Trump took office, while Republicans have flipped zero
Last night, New Hampshire Democrat Bobbi Boudman clinched a major victory in the 7th Carroll County State House District election, flipping a Trump-won district that Republicans carried by 13 points in the previous election. This victory is another sign that Democrats have the momentum heading into November. Democrats have now won or overperformed in 254 out of 284 key elections since Trump took office and have flipped 28 state legislative elections while Republicans have flipped zero.
In red, blue, and purple communities, voters are souring on Donald Trump and his disastrous, billionaire-first agenda that is raising costs on working families. In New Hampshire, 32,000 Granite Staters are set to lose their health care because of Trump’s Big Ugly Bill, rural hospitals are on the brink of closure, and families are paying hundreds of dollars more for the basics.
That’s why voters are putting their faith in strong Democratic leaders like Representative-elect Boudman who will fight every day to lower costs and protect Granite Staters’ health care.
In response to Boudman’s victory, DNC Chair Ken Martin released the following statement:
“Representative-elect Boudman ran a remarkable campaign focused on solutions to the problems that families in New Hampshire are facing, from the rising cost of electricity, utilities, and groceries to the health care crisis caused by Trump’s ‘Big Ugly Bill.’ This win is yet another warning sign to Republicans across the country, and a new reality is now sinking in: no Republican seat is safe. From now until November, Democrats are keeping our foot on the gas and organizing and competing everywhere, including to flip the New Hampshire House and take back power across the country.”
