NEW POLLS, SAME STORY: Americans Feel Good About Biden Presidency

Stop us if you’ve heard this before: Americans overwhelmingly approve of President Biden’s agenda. New polls released this weekend show that Americans continue to give President Biden high marks for his leadership while Republicans muddle along with an unfocused and out-of-touch message.

After delivering on his promise to administer 200 million vaccines in less than 100 days, Americans overwhelmingly approve of President Biden’s coronavirus response.

Vox: “Just a few days before President Joe Biden marks his first 100 days in office, a trio of new polls from NBC, CBS, and the Washington Post and ABC show that Americans give Biden high marks for his handling of the coronavirus pandemic, while his overall job approval rating remains positive.”

NBC News: “69 percent approve of his handling of the coronavirus, including 94 percent of Democrats, 81 percent of independents (!!!) and even 36 percent of Republicans.”

The American Jobs Plan, a much needed massive investment in the nation’s infrastructure, also sees widespread support.

CBS News: “President Biden’s proposed infrastructure plan finds majority support among the U.S. public, with several specific areas of investment viewed as worthwhile across party lines. Americans are also largely on board with increasing taxes on corporations and getting the wealthy to pay for it. Nationwide, 58% approve of the administration’s infrastructure proposal.”

CNBC: “More than half of Americans say they support President Joe Biden’s performance in office so far and approve of his sweeping infrastructure proposal, according to a new NBC News poll.”

Washington Post: “Biden has proposed paying for the infrastructure plan by raising the corporate tax rate, which once stood at 35 percent but was lowered to 21 percent during Trump’s presidency. Biden has recommended that it be raised to 28 percent, and the new poll shows that 58 percent of Americans say they support the increase.”
