On ACA Anniversary, DNC Launches New Ads in Pennsylvania Blasting Republicans’ Latest Attack on Americans’ Health Care

On the anniversary of the signing of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) into law, the Democratic National Committee is launching a new digital ad campaign in Pennsylvania blasting Republicans’ latest calls to raise health care costs. The ads follow Senator Ron Johnson’s recent admission that the ACA should be repealed if Republicans take back power, and highlights what Republican control could mean for Pennsylvanians’ health care: higher premiums, higher prescription drug prices, and no protections for preexisting conditions.

“With Republicans once again saying they want to overturn the Affordable Care Act, it’s clear that health care is on the ballot for Pennsyvanians this year,” said DNC spokesperson Noelle Rosellini. “While Pennsylvania Democrats have built on the Affordable Care Act to increase coverage and reduce health care costs for 374,000 people in the commonwealth, Republicans are now pushing to cut access to care, raise costs, and bring us backwards on health care. The people of Pennsylvania deserve to know what’s at stake.”
