On ACA Anniversary, DNC Launches New Digital Ads in Florida Blasting Republicans’ Latest Attack on Americans’ Health Care

On the anniversary of the signing of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) into law, the Democratic National Committee is launching a new digital ad campaign in Florida blasting Republicans’ latest efforts to raise health care costs. The ads follow Senator Ron Johnson’s recent admission that the ACA should be repealed if Republicans take back power, and highlights what Republican control could mean for Floridians’ health care: higher premiums, higher prescription drug prices, and no protections for preexisting conditions.

“Floridians deserve to know where Republicans and Democrats stand when it comes to their health care, and the difference between the parties couldn’t be more stark,” said DNC spokesperson Rhyan Lake. “Republicans are once again saying they would repeal the ACA if given the chance —which would mean higher costs, more expensive prescription drugs, and health care ripped away from Floridians with preexisting conditions —while Democrats are focused on cutting costs and expanding access care for the people of the Sunshine State.”
