On ACA Anniversary, DNC Launches New Digital Ads in Wisconsin Blasting Republicans’ Latest Attack on Americans’ Health Care

On the anniversary of the signing of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) into law, the Democratic National Committee is launching a new digital ad campaign in Wisconsin blasting Senator Ron Johnson and Republicans’ latest efforts to raise health care costs. The ads follow Johnson’s recent admission that the ACA should be repealed if Republicans take back power, and highlights what Republican control could mean for Wisconsinites’ health care: higher premiums, higher prescription drug prices, and no protections for preexisting conditions.

“Wisconsinites deserve to know that Ron Johnson is once again leading the Republican charge to raise their health care costs and take coverage away from people across the state,” said DNC spokesperson Ryan Thomas. “If Ron Johnson and Republicans are able to take control and overturn the Affordable Care Act, as Johnson has said they should, it would be a disaster for Wisconsin, jacking up the cost of health care and prescription drugs and ripping insurance away from more than 212,000 Wisconsinites.”
