“Yesterday, Donald Trump’s name was confirmed to be in the Epstein files, and today, he is fleeing to the United Kingdom for a weekend of golf at his own resorts. In just six months in office, Trump has blown tens of millions of taxpayer dollars to enrich his struggling businesses. While Americans cancel their summer travel plans and tighten their wallets amid Trump’s price hikes, Trump is heading to his tee time on the taxpayer dime.” 

😴 RESTING UP: Donald Trump is taking time off from being president to play golf again. 

BBC: “Donald Trump flies into Scotland on Friday for a four-day trip, his first visit to the UK since his re-election.

“The US president is due to visit his golf resorts at Turnberry on the Ayrshire coast and Menie in Aberdeenshire.

“The White House has described the visit as a ‘private’ trip …” 

📚BY THE NUMBERS: Trump has spent over one quarter of his second term visiting his resorts — the majority of which he spends golfing.  

• 26 days at Mar-A-Lago resorts and the surrounding Trump golf clubs 
• 14 days at Trump National Bedminster

• 3 days at Trump National Doral 

💸 COST TO TAXPAYER: Trump’s Scotland trip is costing American taxpayers $10 million, and just like his other so-called “private” trips, much of it is going directly to Trump’s businesses, including by overcharging Secret Service and other government officials.

“American taxpayers will shell out at least $10 million over the next several days so President Donald Trump can participate in a marketing photo opportunity at his golf resort in Aberdeen, Scotland — the profits from which will flow directly into his own pocket. …
