PHOTOS: Americans Across the Country Shine a Light on Trump’s Failures as U.S. Approaches 200,000 COVID-19 Deaths

This weekend, as the United States approached 200,000 coronavirus deaths, the DNC War Room organized light displays in cities across the country to remember the Americans lost to the pandemic and hold Trump accountable for his deadly failures in dealing with the coronavirus.

The light displays, which read “Trump Lied, 200,000 Died” highlighted how Trump lied to the American people about the threat of the coronavirus while failing to take action to control its spread.

“It never had to get this bad, but because Trump ignored the advice of medical experts, lied to the American people, and continues to refuse to come up with a plan, thousands of families are mourning and millions are struggling to get by,” said DNC War Room senior spokesperson and advisor Lily Adams. “The American people know Trump put his own political considerations ahead of their safety — and this November, they’ll hold him accountable.”

Democrats gathered to shine a light on Trump’s coronavirus failure in DC, Florida, New Hampshire, Wisconsin, Nevada, Arizona, Ohio, and Michigan.
