President Biden and Democrats Deliver Jobs, Infrastructure, And Vaccines For Kids

Last week, President Biden and Democrats delivered a once-in-a-generation investment in our nation’s infrastructure, a blockbuster October jobs report, a safe COVID vaccine for kids ages 5-11, and so much more. President Biden ran on the promise to build our economy back better and tackle the pandemic head on, and once again, he’s demonstrated his ability to work across party lines to deliver for the American people.

President Biden delivered a transformational investment in our nation’s infrastructure, a historic achievement which Trump tried and failed to accomplish for four years.

NBC News: “President Joe Biden, just under a year into his presidency, has delivered on a key campaign promise to work across the aisle to deliver the largest investment ever in restoring crumbling U.S. roads, bridges and other types of physical infrastructure.”

Washington Post: “Biden gets his ‘infrastructure week,’ crossing another goal off Trump’s to-do list”

Thanks to President Biden’s leadership, our economy is roaring back with more than half a million jobs created in October, and the unemployment rate and jobless claims falling to new pandemic lows.

CNBC: “Job creation roars back in October as payrolls rise by 531,000”

CNN: “The unemployment rate fell to 4.6%, the lowest level since the economic recovery started in May 2020.”

Wall Street Journal: “Worker filings for unemployment benefits continued their steady downward march as they approached levels last seen before the coronavirus pandemic. Worker filings for initial unemployment benefits, a proxy for layoffs, fell to 269,000, the Labor Department said Thursday.”

The stock market is at an all-time high thanks to President Biden’s leadership and passage of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal.

CNBC: “The Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped to a new intraday high Monday after Congress approved an infrastructure spending package.”

And we reached another turning point in the fight against COVID-19, as young children can be vaccinated, 80% of American adults have received at least one dose of the vaccine, and President Biden secured millions of doses of a new antiviral pill.

CNN: “5- to 11-year-olds can now get a Covid-19 vaccine in the US”

Wall Street Journal: “Some parents who have guided young children through nearly two years of social distancing and remote learning said getting appointments to get them vaccinated was a great relief.”

The Hill: “The White House announced on Monday that 70 percent of adults in the U.S. are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and that 80 percent of adults have received at least their first shot.”

Forbes: “The U.S. has secured ‘millions of doses’ of Pfizer’s antiviral pill Paxlovid to treat Covid-19 pending FDA authorization, President Joe Biden said Friday, a few hours after the drugmaker announced that its drug reduced the risk of hospitalization or death due to the disease by 89%.”
