President Biden Is Delivering Shots In Arms

Since day 1, President Biden has worked around the clock to tackle the Covid-19 pandemic, get shots in arms, and get our country back on track. Not only is President Biden’s historic vaccine rollout broadly popular with the American people, but the data released this week shows it’s been hugely successful. All of this progress was made possible by President Biden and Democrats passing the American Rescue Plan, and no thanks to a single Republican in Congress.

The U.S. hit a major milestone this week as more than 200 million Americans are now fully vaccinated.

New York Times: “More than 200 million Americans — over 60 percent of the population — have been fully vaccinated against the coronavirus.”

Washington Post: “In the past week, an average of 1.92 million doses per day were administered — a 35 percent increase over the week before — according to data from The Washington Post’s tracker.”

This week also marked a milestone for kids, as over 5 million children ages 5-11 have received at least one dose of the vaccine and 2 million are fully vaccinated, allowing parents to breathe easier this holiday season.

US News: “Biden Administration: 5 Million Kids Under 12 Vaccinated Against COVID-19”

Kaiser Family Foundation: “Nationally, an estimated 16.7% of 5-11 year-olds had received at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose as of December 5, 2021”

New York Times: “As Young Kids Get Vaccines, a ‘Huge Weight’ Is Lifted for Families”

The number of booster shots administered is steadily increasing, with 50 million Americans and 55% of seniors already receiving their boosters.

CNN: “US health officials have been pushing Americans to get boosted for months; so far, about 50 million people — 26.9% of fully vaccinated adults — have received an additional dose.”

Reuters: “‘In the last week, we’ve gotten nearly 7 million people a booster; that’s a million booster shots in arms a day. And that’s more people getting a booster shot per day than ever before,’ White House COVID-19 response coordinator Jeff Zients said on Tuesday. Around 55% of people aged 65 and older who are eligible for a booster have received one, he added.”

White House Covid-19 Data Director Cyrus Shahar: “Today, CDC released data showing that as of Dec 5, 51% of fully vax nursing home residents have a booster.”

New polling shows Americans continue to broadly support President Biden’s historic vaccine rollout.

Navigator Research: “Approval ratings for the vaccine rollout remain high at 66 percent overall. Approval of the rollout of the vaccine is also bipartisan: 83% of Democrats, 47% of independents, and 51% of Republicans approve of the rollout.”
