REMINDER: Tim Scott Is a Dangerous Anti-Abortion Extremist

From endorsing Lindsey Graham’s national abortion ban to calling South Carolina’s legislation that bans abortion before many women even know they’re pregnant “good news,” Tim Scott is committed to using his extreme anti-choice agenda to try to out-MAGA the rest of the 2024 field.

Just days after jumping into the 2024 GOP primary race, Tim Scott promised to sign the most restrictive national abortion ban he could if he were in the White House.

Scott: “If I were president of the United States, I would literally sign the most conservative pro-life legislation that they can get through Congress.

Scott: “What legislation do we have today that gets through Congress? I’ve cosponsored a 20-week bill. I’ve signaled very clearly I’d sign a 15-week bill.

Newsmax: “Your colleague in the Senate – also your colleague from South Carolina – Lindsey Graham is pushing for a 15-week federal abortion ban, something that’s going to be an issue come the next election. Would a President Scott sign that bill into law?”

Scott: “Every day, I would sign that bill into law. I would sign the most conservative pro-life legislation you can bring to my desk.”

After his home state of South Carolina passed an extreme bill that bans abortion before many women know they’re pregnant and threatens doctors and nurses with jail time, Scott called it “good news.”

Tim Scott: “The state is trying to protect the culture of life and that’s good news. I mean, the heartbeat bill is a step in the direction of that.”

None of his extreme stances should come as a surprise though — in the Senate, Tim Scott co-sponsored and supported the Life at Conception Act, which could ban abortion nationwide, and co-sponsored a national abortion ban that could threaten doctors with jail time.
