April 13, 2018
Just over one year ago, on April 3, 2017, RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel and RNC Finance Chair Steve Wynn rolled out the newest members of their finance leadership team. Among those charged with leading Republican fundraising efforts (and covering up scandals): National Deputy Finance Chairmen Michael Cohen and Elliott Broidy. You can read their press release here!
Let’s take a look at where they are one year later…

The RNC’s response?
From CNN: “So far, the RNC has declined to return contributions from Wynn, who donated $375,000 to the committee late last year alone.”
From RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel: “Steve has denied these allegations.”
From Vox: “Cohen is still a member of the RNC finance committee as of today. And the RNC (and a Trump 2020 Super PAC) have refused to return Wynn’s donations.”
