In response to President Trump’s endorsement of former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney in the Utah Senate race, DNC spokesperson Vedant Patel released the following statement:

“Governor Romney’s embrace of President Trump’s endorsement should come as a surprise to nobody. From tax cuts for the rich to reversing the progress of the ACA, Romney has a long record of advocating for the very same policies that have defined the Trump agenda. Utah’s families deserve a senator who will expand opportunities and fight to improve the lives of everyone, not another multi-millionaire looking out for himself, his rich neighbors and the special interests at the expense of working people.”
