Ron DeSantis Continues His National MAGA Extremist Tour

Ron DeSantis continues traveling across the country campaigning for election deniers, abortion extremists, and associates of anti-Semites. DeSantis already campaigned for Kari Lake and Blake Masters in Arizona earlier this week, and is joining Doug Mastriano in Pennsylvania and J.D. Vance in Ohio on Friday.

While Floridians are struggling with vaccine shortages and housing costs, Ron DeSantis is focused on palling around with fellow MAGA extremists to increase his national profile.

Take a look at some of DeSantis’s ultra-MAGA pals:

Doug Mastriano

Politico“Investigators with the Jan. 6 select committee have said Mastriano was involved in a plot to recruit alternate electors in Pennsylvania to give Trump an electoral college win even though Biden won the state. Mastriano was also outside the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021 before the insurrection.”

CNN: “Doug Mastriano under fire for relationship with antisemitic website and its founder”

CBS News: “In a televised debate last week, Mastriano said he supports banning abortion from conception, with no exceptions. He called abortion ‘the No. 1 issue’ and pointed to the ‘heartbeat’ bill that he has sponsored, which effectively bans abortion at six weeks.”

J.D. Vance

Daily Beast: “J.D. Vance Defends Texas Abortion Ban, Calls Rape ‘Inconvenient’”

Associated Press: “And in Ohio, Republican Senate nominee JD Vance accused Democrats of trying to ‘transform the electorate.’ Warning of an immigrant ‘invasion,’ Vance told Fox News Channel that Democrats ‘have decided that they can’t win reelection in 2022 unless they bring a large number of new voters to replace the voters that are already here.’”

Kari Lake

NBC News: “Kari Lake, Trump-backed election denier, wins GOP primary in Arizona governor’s race”

KTAR: “Republican Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake said Wednesday she thinks abortion, which she called ‘the ultimate sin,’ should be regulated at the state level. ‘I believe that abortion is the ultimate sin,’ Lake told KTAR News 92.3 FM’s The Mike Broomhead Show, ‘That’s my personal belief.’”

Blake Masters

HuffPost: “GOP Senate Candidate Blake Masters Embraces National Abortion Ban”

Mic: “Blake Masters, a Republican candidate for Senator in Arizona, announced that he would only vote for Supreme Court justices who would overturn cases that protect the right to contraceptives. Masters wants access to contraceptives to be a state-level decision.”

CNN: “Arizona Republican Blake Masters, who earned Donald Trump’s endorsement for the Senate race by embracing the former President’s lies that he won the 2020 election, has turned to questioning whether the 2022 midterm election will be legitimate, as he tries to lock up support among the party faithful ahead of next month’s primary.”
