Ronna McDaniel and MAGA Republicans 🤝 Never-Ending Election Conspiracies

It’s been almost three years since Donald Trump lost the 2020 presidential election to President Biden by over seven million votes — but Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel is STILL peddling the same baseless election conspiracy theories and denialism that Trump and his fellow MAGA Republicans continue to push.

When McDaniel was pressed on whether or not she believed President Biden won in 2020, she not only dodged the question, but also used the opportunity to spout dangerous, baseless lies about the election.

Washington Post: “The head of the GOP is still elevating 2020 election skepticism”

HuffPost: “Chris Wallace pushed Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel to answer whether President Joe Biden won the election after she said it’s ‘very real’ to claim there were problems in 2020.”

The Donald Trump-backed RNC chair, who spoke out about ‘irregularities’ and made evidence-free voter fraud claims in the wake of the 2020 election, has recognized that Biden is the president but has declined in the past to say whether Biden’s victory was legitimate.”

‘I think saying there were problems with 2020 is very real. I don’t think that’s election-denying,’ McDaniel told the CNN host, who asked when she stopped ‘being an election denier.’”

Republican presidential hopefuls also continue to peddle conspiracies about the 2020 election and many spent the last election cycle campaigning with some of the most notorious election deniers in the country.

Associated Press: “Trump, running for the White House for the third time, has signaled that the 2020 election will remain an integral part of his 2024 presidential bid. In a recent call with reporters about a new book, Trump pointed to polls that show a sizable number of people believe the 2020 election was stolen, even though there is no such evidence. ‘I’m an election denier,’ Trump said. ‘You’ve got a lot of election deniers in this country and they’re not happy about what’s happened.’”

Washington Post: “Former president Donald Trump on Thursday praised and embraced a woman convicted of defying police orders on the U.S. Capitol grounds on Jan. 6, 2021. … Trump has steadily escalated his advocacy for people charged in the Capitol riot, including by pledging to pardon them if he returns to the White House, praising them as patriots, participating in a recording with Jan. 6 prisoners singing the national anthem, and playing it at his first rally of the 2024 campaign last month.”

Business Insider: “DeSantis still won’t say whether he thinks Trump lost in 2020”

Washington Post: “DeSantis says, if elected president, he’d consider pardons for Jan. 6 offenders”

Tim Scott: “The president is simply not guilty [of inciting an insurrection]. … The one person I don’t blame is President Trump.”

Washington Post: “Pence has said Trump was ‘wrong’ to pressure him to reject the electoral college votes … But as Pence has begun laying the groundwork to run in 2024, he isn’t seeking to make opposing Trump core to his political brand. Last week, Pence appeared in Phoenix to endorse Senate candidate Blake Masters of Arizona … Pence also led a fundraiser for Burt Jones, the Republican nominee for Georgia’s lieutenant governor who was part of the effort … to submit phony electors claiming Trump won the state in 2020.”

Fox News: “Pence returns to New Hampshire to boost GOP nominee Bolduc in key Senate showdown”

Washington Post: “[Haley] has endorsed and campaigned with a slate of Senate candidates who reject or question the 2020 election results as she positions herself as a potential 2024 presidential candidate. Haley appeared at a rally Tuesday with Don Bolduc of New Hampshire, who insisted Trump won the election and that President Biden was illegitimate … She also campaigned with Adam Laxalt of Nevada, who led the Trump campaign’s efforts to overturn the results in that state. And she endorsed Ted Budd of North Carolina, who as a congressman voted against certifying the electoral college results on Jan. 6, 2021.”

Fox News: “Ralph Norman is the first South Carolina lawmaker to publicly back Haley’s bid for presidency. His support comes despite former President Donald Trump’s endorsement of his re-election the 2022 midterm elections and also after Norman did not vote to certify the 2020 election, in a nod to his loyalty to Trump.”
