The GOP Is Trying to Distract You From Their Relentless War On Reproductive Health Care

Conservative Supreme Court justices are reportedly set to overturn Roe v. Wade – a direct result of Republicans’ decades-long assault on reproductive health care. Now, Republicans are trying to muddy the waters and distract from their wildly out-of-touch and extreme agenda.

MAGA Republicans are trying to make ridiculous process arguments to distract from the implications of the Supreme Court overturning Roe.

NPR: “Senate Republicans zero in on the abortion decision leak, not its impact”

Washington Post: “Republicans reluctant to tout Roe decision they have long sought”

Rolling Stone: “Republicans Are Calling the Roe Leak an ‘Insurrection’”

Why? It’s simple: Overturning Roe v. Wade is wildly unpopular with the American people and Republicans know it.

Washington Post: “Majority of Americans say Supreme Court should uphold Roe, Post-ABC poll finds”

Quinnipiac Poll: “More than 6 in 10 Americans (63 percent) say they agree with the 1973 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision that established a woman’s right to an abortion and 28 percent disagree with it.”

CNN: “Just 30% of Americans say they’d like to see the Supreme Court completely overturn its Roe vs. Wade decision, with 69% opposed.”

Despite their desperate spin, Republicans will have to answer for their relentless attacks on reproductive health care.

NBC News: “The Democratic National Committee launched a text messaging campaign to move people to the streets”

CNN: “The Democratic National Committee was succinct: ‘Make no mistake: reproductive rights will be on the ballot and this midterm election is more important now than ever before.'”

Axios: “The Democratic National Committee said in an emailed statement: ‘Make no mistake: reproductive rights will be on the ballot and this midterm election is more important now than ever before.’”
