TOMORROW: Third Meeting of the DNC Unity Reform Commission

WASHINGTON — Tomorrow, August 25, and Saturday, August 26, the Democratic National Committee’s Unity Reform Commission will meet for the third time in Chicago. Over the course of the two-day event, Chair Jen O’Malley Dillon and Vice Chair Larry Cohen will moderate discussions on how the caucus process works in states as well as how the DNC and state parties can work in unison to strengthen our Party. Participants will also discuss the commission’s mandate on the role of unpledged delegates in the presidential nominating process.

Created during the 2016 Democratic National Convention, the commission will recommend improvements to ensure the presidential nomination process is accessible, transparent, and inclusive. Members will continue to meet over the course of this year and will issue its report and recommendations to the DNC Rules and Bylaws Committee no later than January 1, 2018. The commission made up of 21 members selected by Sec. Hillary Clinton, Sen. Bernie Sanders, and DNC Chair Tom Perez.
