Trump <3 Billionaires

Since he took office, Donald Trump hasn’t focused on lowering prices or making life easier for working families – he’s too distracted trying to win the attention of billionaires, mega corporations, and the ultra-wealthy.

Whether it’s gutting regulatory agencies that protect American consumers, putting Medicaid on the chopping block to pay for another billionaire tax handout, or imposing a disastrous federal funding freeze that hurt working families across the country, Trump has made it crystal clear that in his administration billionaires come first while the American people get (literally) left out in the cold.

We hope Trump’s billionaire friends remember to send him a Valentine’s Day card today to thank him for all his desperate attempts to win them over – because it’s clear working families won’t.

Here’s just a few of the ways Trump has put billionaires first in office:

  • Gave billionaires collectively worth over $1 trillion a front row seat to his inauguration while leaving the American people (literally) out in the cold
  • Pushed congressional Republicans to go along with his unaffordable national tax to pay for another tax handout for his billionaire friends
  • Stood by as House Republicans put Medicaid and SNAP on the chopping block to pay for his another billionaire special interest giveaway
  • Stacked his Cabinet with out-of-touch billionaires and campaign mega-donors
  • Shuttered the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) after it returned nearly $20 billion to ripped off consumers
  • Rewarded ultra-wealthy donors with spots on his newly purged Kennedy Center board
  • Awarded a nearly $40 million federal contract to Elon Musk while freezing federal funding for thousands of programs

Meanwhile, Trump is making life more expensive for working families while gutting critical programs Americans rely on every single day:

And after only 3 weeks on the job, it’s clear the American people are not feeling the love for Trump’s reckless agenda:

  • The majority (66%) of Americans feel that Trump isn’t doing enough to lower prices
  • More Americans think Trump wants what is best for himself (53%), rather than what is best for the country (47%
  • 62% of the country says the country is on the wrong track
  • Trump’s job approval rating dropped 6 points in the past week
  • 53% of Americans oppose Musk playing a key role in the Trump administration as he becomes the face of the administration
