Trump Declares Mission Accomplished

Trump and his administration are declaring “mission accomplished” on coronavirus, despite the death toll surpassing 60,000 Americans, more than 30 million out of work, over 1 million confirmed infected, and the government purchasing 100,000 new body bags.

Trump is acting like we’ve already beaten coronavirus as Americans still struggle from his failed coronavirus response:

TRUMP: “Our death totals, our numbers, per million people, are really very, very strong. We’re very proud of the job we’ve done.”

TRUMP: “I think we did a spectacular job.”

TRUMP: “We’re just about number one in the world, in terms of success.”

TRUMP: “We’ve done some unbelievable work and when somebody uses the word successful I mean it really has been successful, it has been very successful.”

TRUMP: “We’re heartened that the worst of the pain and suffering is going to be behind us.”

KUSHNER: “We’re on the other side of the medical aspect of this, and I think that we’ve achieved all the different milestones that are needed. The federal government rose to the challenge, and this is a great success story.”

KUDLOW: “As the president said yesterday… I think the worst of the pandemic is over.”

KUDLOW: “And the strong steps the president has taken to deal with the virus, which has put us medically, in terms of public health, in a much better position.” [Outnumbered Overtime, Fox News, 4/30/20]
