“Ripped straight from House Republicans’ playbook, Trump just unveiled his ‘billionaire first’ budget on a Friday night, in the hopes of hiding devastating cuts to essential programs from the American people. Trump wants to rip away food benefits from millions of children and families who rely on them, gut billions from programs that keep our communities safe, and cut rental assistance nearly in half for millions of Americans — all to fund tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy. Trump tried to sneak his extreme and unpopular budget past the American people, but Democrats will always fight for working families — and they’ll never let him get away with it.”
