Trump & His Allies Hold Potential Superspreader Events, Undermine Vaccine As COVID-19 Surges

The coronavirus continues to surge uncontrolled across the country as hospitals become overwhelmed and Trump’s promised vaccine shipments will fall short. Instead of doing anything to help, Trump and his allies continue to spread lies and hold potential superspreader events that only put more Americans at risk.

The first shipments of the coronavirus vaccine will fall short of what Trump promised because of supply chain failures.

Washington Post: “Trump’s Operation Warp Speed promised a flood of covid vaccines. Instead, states are expecting a trickle.”

CNN: “First shipments of coronavirus vaccine will fall short”

Senate Republicans are actively undermining trust in the coronavirus vaccine, helping threaten the country’s ability to achieve widespread immunity.

New York Times: “Anti-Vaccine Doctor Has Been Invited to Testify Before Senate Committee”

Axios: “An alarming number of Americans say they’d reject a COVID-19 vaccine, posing a risk to the country’s ability to achieve widespread immunity.”

The coronavirus has become the top killer in the U.S. as it surges across the country and hospitals have become overwhelmed.

CBS News: “COVID-19 becomes top killer in U.S. as hospitals fill up: ‘It’s one giant ball of anxiety’”

CNN: “US Covid-19 hospitalizations hit another record high”

Axios: “Hospitals across the country are reaching their breaking point on ICU and bed capacity as COVID surges, forcing many health systems to begin diverting patients from emergency rooms and ration care.”

Trump refuses to do anything to help control the virus and is actually making things worse as he and Giuliani, who tested positive for the coronavirus, spread lies and attend potential superspreader events.

CNN: “The President’s dereliction of duty as a pandemic that has never been worse rages out of control is depriving America of sorely needed leadership from its most powerful voice. The scale of the crisis with death rates and hospitalizations soaring was further underscored Sunday after it emerged that Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani has Covid-19.”

New York Times: “Mr. Giuliani recently traveled to three battleground states that Mr. Biden won to make his case. On Thursday he attended a hearing at the Georgia Capitol, where he didn’t wear a mask. He also went maskless on Wednesday at a legislative session in Michigan, where he lobbied Republicans to overturn the results of the election there and appoint a slate of electors for Trump.”

CNN’s Jake Tapper: “Yet another potential super-spreader event, spreading the virus and lies.”
