Trump & His Circus Monkeys Clown Around While His Economy Implodes
August 24, 2025

Donald Trump and his Clown Car Cabinet have been fooling around all week — from photo ops to pull-up challenges to DJ sessions in the Rose Garden — while working Americans struggle to make ends meet. Trump’s reckless policies are jacking up costs on everything from school supplies to electricity bills. Meanwhile, it’s become even more difficult to find a job, and buying a home is near impossible.
In response, DNC Rapid Response Director Kendall Witmer released the following statement:
“The Trump administration is a complete clown show — fooling around while Americans struggle with higher costs from inflation and a terrible job market under Trump’s disastrous economic agenda. Instead of focusing on bringing costs down, Trump’s Cabinet members are jetting off to exotic locations and showing off how many pull-ups they can, and can’t, do. Donald Trump promised again and again that he would lower costs on Day One, but instead, he and his clowns have been screwing around on the taxpayers’ dime while working families get hung out to dry.”
This week alone has been a total circus at the White House:
- Trump said he was set to patrol the streets of D.C. for what would surely be another photo op — until he didn’t. Instead, he rambled on about everything from grass, to his own fraud case, to his new White House ballroom.
- HHS Secretary RFK Jr. and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth created and promoted a workout challenge… and displayed questionable form.
- Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy needed a lot of help to complete the pull-up portion.
- Trump played DJ in the Rose Garden for a group of reporters.
- Trump teased a big announcement, only for it to be that the Kennedy Center will host the 2026 World Cup draw.
- JD Vance returned from his two-week vacation summering in the U.K.
- The White House suspended its public tours so that construction could begin on Trump’s ballroom.
It’s crystal clear that Trump’s White House has become a playground for his inner circle and the most rich and powerful — while working families get left behind.
