Trump is spreading misinformation about his own COVID diagnosis, lying about his pandemic response, and potentially putting Americans at risk by going back out on the trail where he’s holding more potential superspreader events. Trump’s White House still won’t tell us when he last tested negative while new cases continue to surge across the country.

Trump repeatedly falsely claimed that he is now immune and can’t spread the coronavirus, which was flagged as disinformation on Twitter.

TRUMP: “I’m immune, so the president is in very good shape.”

TRUMP: “A total and complete sign off from White House Doctors yesterday. That means I can’t get it (immune), and can’t give it. Very nice to know!!!”

The Trump campaign misled Americans on Trump’s response by using Dr. Fauci’s comments out of context and without his permission in an ad.

FAUCI: “In my nearly five decades of public service, I have never publicly endorsed any political candidate. The comments attributed to me without my permission in the GOP campaign ad were taken out of context from a broad statement I made months ago about the efforts of federal public health officials.”

The White House still won’t be transparent with the American people and is still refusing to say when Trump last tested negative for the coronavirus.

Trump is putting more Americans at risk by taking his coronavirus misinformation on the road and holding potential superspreader events.

The Hill: “The mayor of Des Moines, Iowa, said he is worried that President Trump’s campaign rally in Des Moines this week could be responsible for spreading COVID-19 in the city.”

Meanwhile, the coronavirus continues to surge and set records in states across the country because of Trump’s failed response.

NBC News: “Missouri, Montana, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma and West Virginia all had record single-day increases in cases on Friday, according to NBC News’ tally.”

COVID Tracking Project: “Across the country, infections rose for the fourth week in a row, with our 56 tracked states and territories reporting more than 312,000 new cases of COVID-19. The hospitalization figure ticked up as well, as case growth continued to lead to severe outcomes.”
