Trump Reverses His Admission That Russia Was Behind Election Hacks, Calls Active Federal Investigati

Yesterday, Donald Trump reversed his admission that Russia was behind the hacking of his opponents in the 2016 election and tried to cast doubt on the subject of an ongoing FBI investigation.  Trump said that he doesn’t know if Russia meddled in the 2016 election, and called allegations of his campaign’s ties to Russia – which are being investigated by the FBI and multiple Congressional committees – a “phony story.”

THE TRUTH: Seventeen intelligence agencies concluded that Russia interfered in the election to help elect Trump and FBI Director James Comey confirmed that the FBI is actively investigating collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

In fact, earlier this year Trump himself conceded that Russia interfered in the election.

Trump may wish that it would go away, but it’s clear there is nothing “phony” about this story.
