Ahead of Mercedes Schlapp’s “Latinos for Trump Talk” today, Democratic National Committee Chair Tom Perez released the following statement:

“As Americans face the fallout of a chaotic coronavirus response, Latinos continue to bear the brunt of Donald Trump’s failures. After three years of relentless attacks on working families’ health care, Latino communities were already vulnerable to a health crisis. Trump’s mismanagement has only put families in greater danger, from insufficient testing to a severe shortage of personal protective equipment for health care workers. And while Trump continues obsessing over how his rich and well-connected friends are doing, Latinos are losing jobs and facing pay cuts at vastly higher rates than the rest of the country. Whatever they say tonight, Trump’s campaign can’t spin his record of broken promises.”
