Trump’s “Unmatched” Anti-Abortion Record, In His Own Words

Donald Trump is making sure his contributions to allow states to ban abortion across this country aren’t forgotten. As Republicans eyeing the 2024 presidential primary amp up their extreme positions on abortion to court the MAGA base of their party, Trump is beating the same drum and insisting that “nobody has ever done more.”

You don’t have to take our word for it, though:

Just this week, Trump pronounced that he alone holds the strongest anti-abortion record by appointing the three Supreme Court justices who voted to overturn Roe v. Wade.

Trump: “Nobody has ever done more for Right to Life than Donald Trump. I put three Supreme Court justices, who all voted, and they got something that they’ve been fighting for 64 years, for many, many years”

Trump’s team continues to insist that he leads on the issue and that his anti-abortion record is “unmatched.”

CNN: “‘There has been no bigger advocate for the movement than President Trump.’ said Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung in a statement to CNN.”

The Washington Post: “Steven Cheung, a spokesman for Trump, said in a statement that Trump’s “unmatched record speaks for itself,’ pointing to his policies and appointments of antiabortion federal judges and Supreme Court justices who overturned Roe v. Wade last summer, erasing a ruling that established a constitutional right to abortion and delivering a decades-long priority for conservative Christians.”

Remember: Trump is the same abortion extremist who called for “some form of punishment” against women who have abortions.

Donald Trump: “There has to be some form of punishment [for women who have abortions].”
